OK. Before you submit the application, if you have specified that you want a kitten, please, please reconsider adopting a teenage or adult cat. The kitten stage only lasts 6 months, and the ones that really need homes are the teenage and adult cats. We all love kittens, but they do turn into teenagers and adults very fast, and the older cats are terrific and just waiting to be adopted. If you truly want to rescue a pet, rescue a teenage or adult cat. They are the last ones anyone wants and the numbers waiting to come into rescue programs like ours are very high. For the cats in the shelters, time is of the essence. They have to make way for the newcomers, one way or the other.

Thank you.
